Social Impact of I.T

This blog is going to be about social impact of I.T. The impact of using I.T in a community center, positive and the negative aspects of using internet social sites and lastly the advantages of using the internet. 

Impacts of using I.T in a community center:

• Library: To use computers in case you do not have access to computers at home
• Revise: It would be easier to concentrate, you will feel more comfortable and researching information
• Internet access: To read the latest news, watch videos and access social network sites
• Homework: Researching on the internet, sharing and gaining ideas from others
• Researching: To do study related work and gaining knowledge
• Socialising: Meeting new people easier, social networks and online activities. 
• Entertainment: Communicate with others, play games and watch group videos

Positive:
When technology wasn't around people would meet people socially, either in public, community centers or in other venues. This generation, people socialize on networks such as: Facebook, Bebo, Twitter, and Skype, and many more internet social sites. You can go on a webcam streaming, you can see who you are and communicating with and hear them live. These are a very good ways to communicate with each other.

Other Advantages of using the internet: 

• Research information for knowledge 
• Send and receive emails 
• Shopping (Garments, groceries, books and all sorts of products)
• Making new friends over social network sites 
• Watching films
• YouTube for accessing videos 
• Reading the latest news like: Sports, politics and whats going on around the world
• Games to entertain yourself
• Check bank balances 
• Music
• Write blogs
• Apply for jobs

Negative:
The negative side of social impacts, is that people spend far to much time on social sites, and forget how to communicate in real life. This may effect them because their social skills could suffer, and forget how to communicate with people in real life. It also effects you because you lose confidence in socialising with others.

Overall, there are ways you can enjoy and use I.T in a community center. There are positive aspects of social impact on how I.T has helped people socialise online, and also so many advantages of using the internet. There is not just a positive side of social impact, they can be a negative side to it to like where people lose social skills.
